ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: One hour on MONDAY AND SATURDAY ONLY this week.

TUESDAY; WEDNESDAY; THURSDAY; FRIDAY: NO EXPOSIOTION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT. The Church will be open from 8.30 a.m. for private prayer and recollection.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: Saturday 11.00 a.m. –noon and By Appointment.

Today we celebrate the SOLEMNITY OF THE ASCENSION OF OUR BLESSED LORD.
It is also WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY; there will be a Retiring Collection at both Masses.

Next Sunday, 11th May, we celebrate the FEAST OF PENTECOST.

SPECTACLES URGENTLY WANTED: The Knights of St. Columba are collecting spectacles, frames and lenses which are no longer of any use to you. These items are used to assist Third World peoples who need spectacles but are unable to afford them. Please leave in the porch. Thank-you.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION: The First Confirmation preparation session will take place in the Parish Centre this Sunday evening at 6.00 p.m.

BAPTISM PREPARATION: The next Baptism Preparation Classes will be on Wednesday 28th May and Wednesday 4th June. They will be held in the Parish Centre and commence at 7.00 p.m.

LAY TRAINING FUND: There will be a Retiring Collection at both Masses next week for the Lay Training Fund. The Fund will remain open until 8th June for private donations.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS required for Ushaw College commencing August 2008. Please see notice in the Porch.

THE LITTLE WAY ASSOCIATION would like to thank the Parishioners of St. Michael’s for their donation of £224.57 which has been sent to the Sudan to assist those suffering as a result of the violence in Darfur
